Dennis Long has been providing individual pitching and baseball instruction for over 33 years. His lifelong love for baseball was handed down from his late father, Jesse, who was keen observer of athletic character and class and lived by the saying, “Respect the game and do things the right way.”  It was certainly important his father knew that everyone had their own way of doing things.  This is the foundation of Dennis’ coaching style.

Dennis graduated from the University of Connecticut as a baseball and basketball student athlete and was a minor league pitcher for the Texas Rangers and New York Mets organizations, advancing for a brief time to the AAA level.  He was a three year member and two time all-star with the Hyannis Mets of the Cape Cod Baseball League and was inducted into the Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame in November of 2017.

He has been a college, junior college and High School coach at various stops in his coaching career but his true passion has been with helping individuals become more confident in themselves and carry themselves to greatness in their lives.

Presently Dennis is an owner, General Manager and Pitching Coach of the Mystic Schooners of the New England Collegiate Baseball League where he is regarded as one of the top pitching instructors in the New England region.
